The sitter is Anne Smulders, as a young girl. She later became the wife of Anton Büler (1900–2001) in Schwyz (Switzerland).

Dokumentation

Until 2002, the Büeler-Smulders family was the owner of the Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel in Schwyz, the original decorative glazing of which is in our gallery.

This is a remarkable portrait of a girl from the Jugendstil period in the Netherlands.
