Georg Meistermann counts among the most important German artists of the post-war period. This internationally famous painter, draughtsman, and graphic artist has created over 1,000 windows at 250 locations. He should be considered the founder and renewer of German stained glass after the Second World War, and in the field of glass-painting became the father figure and model for the ‘Magnificent Seven’ (Joachim Buschulte, Joachim Klos, Jochem Poensgen, Ludwig Schaffrath, Johannes Schreiter, Hubert Spierling, and Hans Gottfried von Stockhausen).
